Thank you to everyone who attended the Crabbs Prairie Area Meet and Greet in support of Colt Christian for Walker County Judge; it was great visiting with each of you! I especially want to thank the hosts and hostess for their support and generosity. Remember, early voting starts February 14 at the Walker County Storm Shelter.
For a rancher, there are no snow days or office closures due to inclement weather. The cattle are dependent on the rancher for their survival and their survival is how a rancher makes a living. I am no stranger to hard work and dedication! The success of Walker County depends on the leadership and commitment of the County Judge. As your next county judge, I will stand ready to serve the constituents of Walker County regardless of the situation! Through snow, rain, sleet, hail, or a pandemic I want to be YOUR voice and will always do what is right and in the best interest of the people of Walker County.
Thirteen years ago, I met Richard Duncan, Tom Fordyce, and Jimmy Wood at the Café Texan. Together they were spearheading a local fundraising event to honor our Military Veterans. They asked if I would cater the ribeye dinner for the banquet. Little did anyone know at the time what a successful event the Huntsville Warrior Banquet would become. I am honored to have been a part of this amazing event since its inception. Thank you to all the men and women, past, present, and future, who have fought for our freedoms!!!
With wildfires once again hitting parts of Texas, my prayers go out to all the first responders, firefighters, and the Texas Forest Service men and women who are on the front lines battling these blazes! I have personally fought alongside firefighters and the Texas Forest Service many times when wildfires have ripped through Walker County; oftentimes being the first bulldozer onsite to push fire lines. I will continue to stand ready and serve the citizens of Walker County.
